We moved to Yucaipa, CA in October of 2003.  Yucaipa is located in the Inland Empire region of Southern California, in San Bernardino county.  We are approximately 40 miles northwest of Palm Springs and 15 miles east of San Bernardino on Interstate 10.

Yucaipa is located in Sunset's Western Garden Zone 19 which is described as follows:

"Thermal Belts around Southern California's Interior Valleys
Growing season: early Mar. through Nov. As in Zone 18, rainy winters and hot, dry summers are the norm--but here, winter lows dip only to 27 degrees to 22 degrees F/-3 degrees to -6 degrees C, allowing some tender evergreen plants to grow outdoors with protection."
